Squaw Valley Resort Squaw Valley Vs. Kirkwood?

Squaw Valley vs. Kirkwood? - squaw valley resort

What ski resort is best? I am writing to Lake Tahoe at the time with my brother and my father, all beginners. So for those who hate one or two departments, you most about? And I recommend this sport to learn to ski or snowboard?

All comments and appreciated.

I personally like Squaw Valley as a mountain because it is a country and a people is much more impressive. However, it is as familiar as Kirkwood, employees are not helpful or friendly than Kirkwood. It is usually a large number of rows in Kirkwood and the lines are not terribly Squaw this time of year either.

It also depends on where you stay in Tahoe, where in Tahoe City and Truckee (not really part of the Tahoe), Kirkwood for about an hour and twenty minutes by car while India is 10-15 minutes maximum. If you are in the vicinity of Meyers and South Lake Kirkwood stay the next.

Since they are beginners, I recommend Kirkwood, because the teaching is better and more environment beginners and families. I would also recommend, unless Skiing as a coup and ego. The first three days on a snowboard is brutal, but after that it gets easier. Skiing is easier at first, but you do not improve as quickly.

Personally I like the Indians, but I'm going outside the borders of the country. I've heard that a lot of the Kirkwood fmaily said as the last poster.

Compared to skiing snowboarding ... There are a few factors. Skiing is probably easier to start, but snowboarding is a learning process much faster. One of the key differences for the beginner is the degree of comfort. Snowboard boots are comfortable. But if you have no experience in snow, or a certain type of equipment with similar balance point (Surf, Skate), is again a LOT. I think people have a better time than the first day, when on skis. The independence of the feet is important. 2 vs. 1 Rates from snow skiing ....
